Investment rationale and value creation
We were attracted to this prestigious site in a good location with excellent transport access and strong links to the local university science park. We provided single source funding for the initial investment and exited successfully to management.
We worked closely with management to improve occupancy and the benefits of our flexible shareholder funding approach was demonstrated when the hotel sector suffered post 11 September 2001.
