Advanced Insulation (AI), a GCP investment, has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2016. This award recognises AI’s contribution to international trade, innovation and sustainable development.

Gloucester-based AI, which makes specialist passive fire protection and thermal insulation materials for the oil and gas industry, was also recognised for its export success. The company has achieved growth in turnover from £20m in 2013 to over £54m in 2015. It previously won the award for international trade in 2012 and for innovation in 2013 and took home the Manufacturing Innovation Award at Insider’s Made in the South West 2015 awards.

Andrew Bennion, Managing Director, said:

“Winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for the third time in the company’s history is a huge honour for Advanced Insulation.
