GCP promotes Richard Shaw to Investment Director
Growth Capital Partners (GCP), the provider of blended equity and debt to the UK’s small to medium sized businesses (SMEs), is pleased to announce the promotion of Richard Shaw to Investment Director.
Richard joined GCP in early 2012 and has since been involved in four investments, most recently in Advanced Insulation, and in portfolio management where he works with the management teams at Excelsior Technologies, etc.venues and Fishawack.
He has over 10 years’ experience of working with SME’s, having previously been a corporate finance advisor at Clearwater Corporate Finance in London, where he was recognised as a Mergermarket Young Dealmaker of the Year in 2011. Prior to that he was at Grant Thornton where he also undertook a secondment to Lloyds Banking Group’s Business Support Unit.

This announcement is a continuation of an excellent 2014 for GCP; it has expanded its team, completed two new investments and supported two acquisitions for its portfolio companies. GCP has made over 25 investments including companies such as Iglu.com, the online ski and cruise specialist and Scopus, an electronic survey company in the oil and gas industry.
