Oct 2015 – GCP appoints Giles Whitman as investment director

Another new addition to the GCP team

Growth Capital Partners (GCP), the provider of blended equity and debt to the UK’s small to medium sized businesses, has announced the appointment of Giles Whitman as investment director. Giles, who joins from YFM Equity Partners, will take a lead investment role as GCP continues to deploy its Fund III.

Giles has 8 years of private equity experience, having spent 4 years within Foresight Group’s environmental infrastructure team where he made and managed a number of investments. He then spent 4 years at YFM Equity Partners where he led a number of investments into fast growing private businesses.

Following a brief stint at HSBC Investment Bank, Giles qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in corporate recovery and transaction support. He has a BSc in Economics and Economic History from Bristol.
