GCP welcomes James Craig as Portfolio Growth Director

We are pleased to announce the appointment of James Craig as Portfolio Growth Director.

James joins us as a key strategic hire as we continue to invest in and develop our specialist and tailored value creation approach and function. He will partner closely with the ambitious management teams across our portfolio to help to deliver sustainable growth and unlock long-term value.

James began his career in enterprise software sales before moving into technology and management consulting with Accenture and Baringa Partners. He then moved into private equity and has gained multiple years of experience supporting effective scaling of fast growth businesses.

Prior to GCP, he led value creation efforts at Puma Growth Partners, a VCT growth investor, and at ScaleUp Capital, where he worked with over 30 high-growth companies.

James’s appointment reinforces GCP’s commitment to providing specialist strategic growth support across our portfolio of high-margin, intellectual capital-led companies in fast-growing technology and specialist services sectors.

James Craig commented:
“I’m thrilled to join GCP at such an exciting time. I’m passionate about working shoulder-to-shoulder with ambitious management teams to unlock growth and create lasting value. GCP’s long-term, partnership-led approach aligns perfectly with how I believe value is best built.”

Richard Shaw, Partner, said:
“We are delighted to welcome James to the team. His breadth of experience, background in technology and specialist services and hands-on, supportive approach to value creation will be a real asset to GCP and our portfolio. We look forward to working together to support the management teams we have partnered with in delivering on their growth ambitions.”
