AIS acquire CRP Subsea

GCP are delighted to announce their support for AIS’ acquisition of CRP Subsea, further enhancing AIS’ growing range of subsea and offshore wind service offerings. The acquisition unites two of the industry’s leading players into one global-scale business, significantly increasing AIS market share.

Based in Skelmersdale, England, CRP Subsea (formerly Trelleborg Offshore UK) are specialists in polymer and syntactic foam-based buoyancy and protection products for the offshore renewables and oil and gas industries. They have been a leader in polymer and syntactic foam-based products for over 40 years.

With clear synergies between the two companies, they will be better positioned to pursue energy transition and meet the increasing global needs of the energy industry.

Ravi Monteiro, Investment Director, GCP commented:

“The acquisition of CRP represents a significant milestone for AIS as the business continues to shift its strategic focus to energy transition.  The combination with CRP provides significant scale and exciting growth opportunities for AIS to continue capitalising upon.”

Andrew Bennion, Group Managing Director, AIS commented:

“Considerable growth is expected in the offshore market, and the acquisition further strengthens AIS’ position in the industry, whilst ensuring our customers have access to a wider range of innovative subsea solutions. Indeed, AIS and CRP Subsea share DNA as forward thinking, innovative companies, and we will be stronger together.“

John Drury, Managing Director, CRP Subsea commented:

“We are really excited about this new chapter for CRP Subsea as we join the AIS family.  The move enables us to accelerate our growth ambitions towards the offshore energy sector, and the synergies between CRP Subsea and AIS will allow us to bring even greater value to our customers around the world. “
