As Origination Director I provide UK-wide oversight and a systematic approach to the firm’s advisory relationships, prospective investment opportunities and follow-on M&A portfolio activity. I have the best job in private equity, spending my days talking to ambitious entrepreneurs about their goals, ambitions and how GCP can support the realisation of these.

I have over 15 years of experience working within the Private Equity industry having previously spent four years as Head of Sponsor Coverage at Grant Thornton and prior to this, I worked at a mid-market private equity investor. The consistent theme is engaging with owner managed growth businesses looking at the next stage of their company’s evolution.

I have supported M&A plans across a variety of sectors and geographies ranging from energy procurement in the US to UK insurance remediation and digital transformation consultancy.

Outside of work I spend as much time with my young family as possible, I am actively involved in multiple graduate mentoring programmes and with any free time chase previous sporting achievements. I have a competitive personality and an inability to say no which is probably best highlighted by a pub chat escalating into a 250km run across a Chinese desert, a 100km run to Brighton and an appearance on ITV’s Ninja Warrior.
