Our investment partnership began in March 2019 following a minority investment, alongside founders Paul Henshaw, Matt Gaffney, Tom Walton. As a cloud digital transformation consultancy Infinity Works delivers full stack engineering projects and technology solutions across a range of industry sectors, including financial services, retail, leisure and public sector.

We were privileged to be working with a highly experienced, technical management team that had developed a unique delivery model and people culture. Their track record of expanding customer accounts, winning new customers and delivering successful business change and growth initiatives in an agile way led to Infinity Works becoming one of the UK’s leading cloud transformation specialists.  

In February 2021 we achieved a highly successful realisation of the investment partnership through a strategic sale of the business to Accenture. This represented a record return for our investors and a fantastic outcome for all shareholders. It later received industry recognition being announced ‘Deal of the Year’ at the Yorkshire Insider Deal Makers awards.

Delivering the best outcome

Throughout our close working relationship, we supported Infinity Work’s strategic objectives, using a range of value drivers from our Growth Toolkit.  This enabled billable headcount to increase from 150 to 450, a doubling of turnover and a trebling of profits.

People & Organisation

  • Recruitment of an industry experienced Chair, Operations Director, Chief Commercial Officer, Head of Talent, Partnerships Manager and Marketing team
  • Building an in-house talent recruitment and learning and development function
  • Academy investment, development and scaling focused on growing and retraining new talent
  • Development of wider senior leadership team and management structure to enable founder succession plans

  • Hands on approach to bespoke exit process focused on strategic trade buyers
  • The GCP team played a key role in CF advisor selection, development of key value pillars and future growth business plan, and process management to support excellent deal outcome for all
