Flint Global Managing Partner chairs speech with Deputy PM
Sir Simon Fraser, Managing Partner of GCP-backed political, policy, regulatory and competition advisory firm Flint Global, recently chaired a speech by the Deputy Prime Minister of the UK, Rt Hon. Oliver Dowden MP at the Chatham House’s Royal Institute of International Affairs.
A former deputy chair of Chatham House, Sir Simon currently sits on the institute’s Panel of Senior Advisers and advises its Europe programme.
The speech focused on the future of the UK’s economic security policy in an increasingly volatile climate where governments are bringing in measures to diversify or “de-risk” their supply chains.
The Deputy PM announced amendments to the UK’s inbound investment screening regime (the National Security and Investment Act), a further consultation on export controls, and reviews of the risks presented by outbound investments and within the academic sector.
