GCP & Electric Theatre Collective recognised at the London & South East UK Private Capital Vision 2026 Awards
We are delighted to announce that Electric Theatre Collective (ETC) has been announced as the winner of the International Expansion category for the London & South East region at UK Private Capital’s Vision 2026 Awards. The Vision Awards celebrate exceptional management teams who have demonstrated competitiveness, growth, innovation and meaningful progress on sustainability and DE&I qualities ETC has shown in abundance over the last 12 months. The judges scored ETC’s nomination highly across all four recognition themes, describing the business as having a “demonstrably solid business model” and pointing to the “highly impressive revenue impact from the NY office opening” as clear evidence of its impact.
Our investment partnership with ETC began in January 2024, and since then we’ve worked closely with Jon Purton and the team to support the business’s growth, capability and international expansion. Over the past year, ETC has launched a full-service New York studio mirroring London’s offering across moving image and design, which has already contributed around £10m of revenue and given the business a genuine platform to compete for some of the world’s highest-profile creative opportunities, including major US advertising campaigns. The expansion has been backed by real investment in people too, with a dedicated Managing Director transferred from the London team to lead the New York office and protect the culture that makes ETC special.
Jon Purton, CEO of Electric Theatre Collective, commented:
“Our ambition to take the Electric Theatre Collective brand to the US was made possible by the trust and support of GCP. The US business is thriving and at a time of much change, the US market is providing us with an exciting platform to continue meaningful growth into the future. What we achieved in our first year is a tribute to clear vision, passion and rigorous execution from the team. GCP’s guidance along the way was instrumental.”
James Handley, Investment Director at GCP, added:
“Congratulations to Jon Purton and the entire team at Electric Theatre Collective (ETC) on winning the International Expansion award for London & South East at the UK Private Capital Vision 2026 Awards, a brilliant recognition of what they’ve built. The judges’ comments about ETC’s ‘demonstrably solid business model’ and the ‘highly impressive revenue impact from the NY office opening’ speak to the calibre of the team and the strength of their international strategy.
It’s been a privilege to partner with Jon and the team since January 2024. Together we’ve helped ETC grow from a London studio into a genuinely international creative business, launching New York, building a full-service US studio that mirrors London’s offering, and investing in the senior talent needed to lead it – all while protecting the culture and creative excellence that make ETC special. This award is a fantastic reflection of that growth, and we’re excited for what’s next.”
