GCP-backed bolt-on for Hippo wins Yorkshire Deal of the Year (£5m-£25m)

The acquisition of The Data Shed by GCP portfolio company Hippo has been awarded Deal of the Year (£5m-£25m) at the Yorkshire Dealmakers Awards, recognising the transformative nature of the deal and the combined business’ status as a disruptor in the market. 

It is through the consistent hard work of the Hippo and The Data Shed management teams, and the wider teams supporting the growth, that this recognition has come about. It is well deserved for a team that have continued to innovate and drive growth in Yorkshire as well as nationwide. 

With the Yorkshire Dealmakers judging panel describing the deal as a “Yorkshire growth success story in the making”, we remain very proud of our partnership with the talented Hippo team and their new The Data Shed colleagues.
