Bridewell CEO featured in national media on serious cyber breaches
Following major data breaches at the Electoral Commission and the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), Anthony Young, Co-CEO of Bridewell, was featured in national newspaper The Daily Mail as a subject matter expert on the topic.
Bridewell, the GCP-backed leading cyber security firm, provides cyber security, penetration testing, and managed security services to public and private sector organisations.
Speaking to Rebecca Camber, Crime and Security Editor at The Daily Mail, Anthony commented on the delay in discovering the breach:
“If the attackers had access to the commission’s email systems and controls for over 14 months, during this time they could have contacted other individuals, companies and government departments claiming to be part of the electoral commission. This could lead to further loss of data or finances.”
