Background

Our investment partnership began with Entec in October 2005. When we were impressed by their strong market position within the industry and their highly experienced management team led by Simon Armes-Reardon.

Entec offer a multi-disciplinary service of engineering design, project management and environmental assessment which enabled them to have a strong market position within their industry with delivery capacity across the UK.  With a diverse client base and broad service offering, they had attractive regulatory and legislative demand drivers in water, waste and energy sectors. 60% of their work was underpinned by frameworks.

In March 2010 we led the exit agenda with management that resulted in the sale to Amec who saw a good strategic fit with their European Earth and Environmental business.
