Background

We started our investment partnership with Flydocs in April 2015 and developed a strong relationship with the entrepreneurial, founder-led team. They provide best in class paperless aviation records management and online aircraft transition services, through a proprietary SaaS platform.

Flydocs was a leader in the digitisation of aircraft maintenance and safety records and through the period of our investment proved itself as a disruptive platform to be the first to enable the full digital peer to peer transfer of aircraft lease arrangements.

The fast growth, disruptive business model and increasing market leading position led to an attractive approach from a highly strategic trade buyer in Lufthansa Technik and we worked closely with the founders to enable a successful sale.
