Last week, MP Anthony Browne visited the offices of John Henry Group (JHG) in Cambridgeshire. Spending some time meeting the teams and learning more about the JHG operation, showing the hard work the business is doing in developing the broadband infrastructure within the region. The visit was a great success and proved to be productive for both JHG and Anthony. The MP took away learnings of the technical work the business does and important issues that could be raised to wider industry groups and government ministers.

Organised by the BVCA, the visit was put together to highlight the importance of PE investment when businesses are wanting to develop their goals and objectives. Showing the valuable strategic support that GCP has been able to bring to the investment partnership with JHG.
Anthony Browne, Member of Parliament for South Cambridgeshire commented:
‘I was genuinely impressed by the work John Henry Group undertakes to lay fibre optic cable across the UK, improving the country’s broadband connections. They not only create an increasing number of local jobs, but have a huge commitment to training up young people entering the workplace.’
Pat Henry, Executive Chairman, John Henry Group commented:
‘It was a pleasure to welcome Anthony to the John Henry Group, and his visit underlines the importance of the work we do here in building the UK’s digital infrastructure. I believe he was impressed in how JHG contribute to the local economy, with new job creation schemes and the associated skills training at our in-house training centre.‘
