Partner Richard Shaw announced in Real Deals’ Future 40 Mid-Market Investment Leaders list

Congratulations to Richard Shaw who has been announced in this year’s Real Deals Future 40 Mid-Market Investment Leaders list.

The list was selected via an external nomination and judging process. It highlights the dealmakers who were able to navigate and deliver outstanding value, strong exits and record returns in 2021.

Here is what Real Deals had to say:

‘’Growth Capital’s Richard Shaw played a leading role in the investment of cloud transformation business, Infinity Works, which was sold to Accenture in February 2021. Taking a minority stake in the business in 2019, Shaw worked with the business to develop a strong operational development plan. By building up its back office and improving operational functions, the business made numerous c-suite hires. Leading the investment as a non-exec investment director on the board, Shaw supported the founders and management team in the business’ transition to remote working as the pandemic hit, and subsequently doubled headcount. Shaw also led the process of founder succession planning.”

Richard leads our investment activity in the Technology sector and is currently supporting the teams at Bridewell, CubeLogic and Indigo. In 2021 he played a leading role in the sale of Infinity Works to Accenture, which went on to win ‘Deal of the Year (£25m and above)’ at the Yorkshire Insider Deal Makers awards.
